I have hand-dyed this yarn in my Autumn Woods colorway: the reds, oranges, and greens of fall foliage. But unlike the usual Autumn Woods, this yarn doesn't stop there. The reds go on into shades of purple, and there is a sun-dappled effect in spots. If this yarn is an indicator of how fall 2009 will be, we're in for a treat! Out of all the yarn I've ever dyed, this is some of the most beautiful and entrancing.
It's approximately 100g / 400 yards (measured by weight, so yardage may vary) of sock weight yarn. It is made out of 80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon for easy care, comfort, and durability. This yarn is exceptionally soft.
If you're making something that takes more than one skein and you want a uniform distribution of color through the whole project, I recommend alternating skeins every few rows.
